Obituary for John Rice

John Rice, age 85, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017, at the Middlesboro ARH.

He was born February 28, 1932, to the late Henry Asher Rice and Nelle Morgan Rice.

In addition his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rice, brother, Leon Rice, and sisters, Mert Cornett, and Jane Rice.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Daughter: Sallie (Gary) Evans of Middlesboro, KY

Grandchildren: John Evans and Jeff Evans

Great-grandchildren: Tyler Evans and Jax Evans

Sister: Vickie (Billy) Dye of Pineville, KY

Special friends: Bill Wilson and Jody Greene

And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be 3:00pm, Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Medley presiding and music provided by Alvie Cunningham.

Internment will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Billy T. Dye, Matt Helms, Adam Hughes, Bill Wilson, Tyler Evans, and Jack Ed Cornett.

The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at the Creech Funeral Home.
