A GENTLE WOMAN

A gentle woman who loved the Lord
Has gone on to receive her rich reward.
No more to suffer the trials
Down here. No more heartaches, pains
Or tears. A loving mother, a friend
To all, ready to help, if you should call.

With gentle hands, she worked with
Cloth. She was always doing what was
Honest and good. And when the Father
Called, she said, “Here I am”

She told her family, “Don’t worry
And please don’t cry. Be happy and
Walk on the straight and narrow way.
For I want to see you all
Again some day.”
