John Gray Ball, age 88, of Ewing, Virginia, passed away June 11, 2017, at Tri-State Health and Rehabilitation Center of Harrogate, TN.

He was born November 16, 1928, in Ewing VA, to the late John Susong Ball and Elizabeth Golden Ball.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Maude Good and his brother, Dale Ball.

He served in the US Navy on the Destroyer EDDE-465 USS Saufley.

He was a carpenter, and he enjoyed gardening and fishing.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Son: Gregory K. Ball (Betina) of Ewing, VA

Grandchildren: Jacqueline Jackson and Kimberley Seals

Great Grandchildren: Emily Jackson, Matthew Jackson, Alison Seals, and Melody Seals

Graveside services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, at the Susong Cemetery in Ewing, VA, with the Rev. Rick Rigsby presiding.
