Obituary for Herbert Evans Sr.

Herbert Evans, Sr., age 90, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on May 14, 2017, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

He was born December 22, 1926, to the late John Robert and Alabama Evans in Middlesboro, KY.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Evans, and his brothers and sisters, Lela Evan, Ruth Sivils, Paralee Ellison, Hazel Honeycutt, and Paris “Doc” Evans.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Children: Herbert Evans, Jr. and Kimberly Murrell

Brother: James Evans

Grandchildren: Kimberly Ellen Kinkade and Alyssia Bayless

Great Grandchildren: Kiara Jo Kinkade

And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 7:00pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mark Prater presiding and music provided by Alvie Cunningham.

Internment will be 11:00am on Friday, May 19, 2017, at the Ellison Cemetery in Frakes, KY.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel.
