Obituary for John David Warren

John David Warren, 82, of Arjay, KY, passed away Friday, May 12, at the Pineville Community Hospital.

He was born April 26, 1935 in Blanche, KY, the son of the late James and Catherine Grubbs Warren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Alice Smith, Ethel Hall and Gladys Hooker; Brothers: Eugene, Bill and Charlie Floyd Warren.

He attended the Monarch Church of God Mountain Assembly and served his country honorably in the United States Army. He is survived by the following members of his family:

Wife: Connie R. Warren of Arjay, KY

Sons: Fred (Patty) Ward of Corbin, KY; David (Ashley) Marsee of Corbin, KY and Anthony Marsee and his fiancée Shana Alvarado of Middlesboro, KY

2 Brothers: Doug Warren of Pineville, KY and Carlos Lee Warren of Michigan City, IN

Sister: Minnie Hooker of Greenwood, IN

Special Niece and Nephew: Charles and Cathy Green of Arjay, KY

1 Grandson: Alex Marsee and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, at the Creech Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul “Woody” Gilbert and Rev. Jeff Hatfield presiding. Music will be provided by the Monarch Church of Mountain Assembly Choir. Interment will follow in the Capito Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Military Honors will be given by the Harlan County Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, at the Creech Funeral Home.
